I've been a Carpenter for 30+ years and have been using CAD 3D modeling software(Rhino 3D) for the last 15 years.
Before the Pandemic my carpentry business was mainly focused on repairing and rehabbing houses for older women, mostly Widows, who were preparing to sell their homes to buy into long term retirement communities. I was known as the nice older carpenter who did good work for resonable prices; the Widow's carpenter.
Those lovely older women would refer me to their friends and that chain of references formed the continuity of my business.
That ended with the pandemic. A year and a half of not being able to work for my older, medically vulnerable clients broke my reference chain and that dependable job feed dried up. And once the elder folks go into retirement living communities they just seem to disappear from the face of the earth.
I then became a caregiver for my Brother for 2 years before he died of cancer.
